Life In HD: Week 4

Growing Jesus Followers are. . .

Therefore, my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy

and crown, stand firm thus in the Lord, my beloved.

2  I entreat Euodia and I entreat Syntyche to agree in the

Lord.  3  Yes, I ask you also, true companion, help these

women, who have labored side by side with me in the

gospel together with Clement and the rest of my fellow

workers, whose names are in the book of life.

Marks of a mature follower of Jesus.

1. Unselfishly Graceful

2. Unreasonably Joyful

3. Resolutely Peaceful

4. Spiritually Mindful

5. Uncompromisingly Content

When you have the right perspective of life, you can

handle any circumstance in life.

Philippians 4:6-7

The Lord is at hand;  6  do not be anxious about

anything, but in everything by prayer and

supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made

known to God.  7  And the peace of God, which surpasses all

understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in

Christ Jesus.

Never seek the hand of God before you seek the face of


Philippians 4:10-13

I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your

concern for me. Indeed, you were concerned, but you had

no opportunity to show it.  11  I am not saying this because I

am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the


12  I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to

have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in

any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry,

whether living in plenty or in want.  13  I can do all this

through him who gives me strength.

Think about the five marks of maturity shared in this message.

1. Rate yourself at how well you are demonstrating this marks

in your life.

2. What is God teaching you in each of these areas?

3. What do you need to be doing to grow in each of these
